Can I use any chandelier with a dimmer switch? or are there only certain light fixtures that i can use?

You can put a dimmer on any light switch. We have them throughout the house even in our bathrooms. My kitchen recessed lights are on dimmers as are my pendants over the island. Everything is on a dimmer in my home. I like adjustable lighting and hate glaring overhead lighting except for tasks. I wouldn't own lighting that couldn't function with a dimmer. Fluorescents are out. They are terrible for the atmosphere of a home and can't be dimmed.
