Help! LDS question regarding the Afterlife?

The doctrine solely says that we have the ability to become like God and we will live in family units. There is no doctrine about being a God of your own planet. Undoubtedly, some Mormons believe this but it is an opinion, not a doctrine. And for the record, we certainly don't believe everyone will practice polygamy in the celestial kingdom.
