I see where your parents are coming from. If you were still dating this girl I'd say you should go. But you should really focus on school since you aren't doing too good. To show your respect you can send flowers and a card and see the girl afterschool and tell her you are really sorry for her loss. This way, you show your respects to her, your parents, and yourself because you need to do better at school. I am on your side on this one, you need to go to school, and you do need to show your respects and see this girl afterschool with a little gift and tell her you really wanted to go, but under the cirstances, it wasnt possible.
