Hi i own a 1995 buick lesabre. It seemed at the beginning the belts were making noise. I put some belt spray?

on and nothing happpened. I took it to the mechanic He said it was the water pump. Ive been driving this way for about 2 months. The last time the water pump was put in was on 2003. But that was from a previous owner. How long can the water pump last if its the water pump. Can it be the power sterring? It has a bad leak. I add fluid ever week. I was just wondering if it is the water pump how much longer can i drive it that way. I dont have the money.
