Escrow? How to protect my house?

Ok. I am in escrow. I recently purchase my 2nd house in Compton, But, I have a problem. I am scared that vandals enter to the house during the process of escrow and destroy the property and put in jeopardize the house value. As a result, I want to know what could I do to protect the house during the time it is in escrow? Could I purchase any type of insurance or could I install a security alarm system in the house?
